Just thought I'd share some of the baby projects I've been working on lately. I try to carry my crocheting with me whenever I know I'm going to have some waiting time. Booties and sweaters are easy to just pick up and work on. I have the patterns memorized and they don't require a lot of counting so I don't have to worry about being interrupted.
When I heard that there are babies who go home wrapped in nothing more than newspaper or leaves because the moms are too poor to provide clothing.. I figured I can't do much about poverty but I can crochet booties! When people ask me what I'm doing, I'm happy to tell them. At least one lady went home and made a pair of booties that very night.
Mom, you are amazing. I love that you are always thinking of ways to make other people's lives better. Someday, when your not busy, will you teach me how to crochet? Please?
