"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."--
Thanksgiving came on a Friday this year and, instead of turkey and pies we served pork roast and trifle but the important elements were there- family was gathered & fun and laughter were there in abundance- what more could we ask for?.
It was the 'in-laws year' for both the Grays (Christi & Chuck) and the Reeds (Kelli & Christopher) so we postponed our celebration till the next day. We are nothing if not flexible around here. LOL Actually, I was kind of tickled. It gave me a great excuse to try some new recipes .. I figured who wants a turkey feast two days in a row??. And Bill and I were able to spend a nice quiet day together. The best of both worlds! How grateful we are for the abundance of life Heavenly Father has given us. We are so richly blessed!
Lily was just barely taking a step or two when they arrived at our house. By the time the week was up she was really getting the hang of this walking thing. So cute!

What an adorable video of Lily walking. Thanks for posting that. So cute! Also, I absolutely loved the menu for Friday's Thanksgiving. Delicious! It was such a great time with family.
