Halloween Party 2010

The Spread (Why just do when you can overdo??)  Not pictured are the punch bowl and chips & dip on the bar.

Ever have the feeling you're being watched?

Anyone for a tasty nibble of severed fingers?

Measuring ears for the 'were wolf' event in our Halloween Olympics

Apple bobbing with a straw and grapes

Last night was our Empty Nesters Halloween party.  We had such a good time! We ate, chatted, played games, laughed, ate some more and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There were 16 of us- a good sized group to play our traditional 'Halloween Olympics' as well as a round of 'Celebrities'.   We were a mixed crew.. ranging from Nedra, a hundred year young great-grandma to long time bachelor Johnny, with the rest of us scattered somewhere in between.  After spending a week getting ready for the big event it was quite satisfying to see it all come together and watch people enjoy themselves.  Have to admit, after it was over, both Bill and I were a bit on the tired side.. There is a reason we only do this every 3 or 4 years!  LOL
Fun times!

This was perhaps one of the funniest moments of the party.  Neither of these dear ladies had a clue how to fold a paper airplane.. but they sure had a good time trying!  (the one on the left won.)
