Well, now you know what we do to keep ourselves entertained! LOL This is the haul we took into the Humanitarian Center today. My grand total was 16 bears and 14 pairs of booties which sounds fairly impressive but wasn't really. Most of them were items that I had made weeks earlier but that just needed finishing touches.. like faces for the bears and ties for the booties. This week I made up my mind that I was going to break down and get them finished up- finally. And, I did! Yea, me. :) On the other hand, Bill really did cut all those squares this week. Those stacks represent two overflowing boxes of random pieces of fabric, each of which have to be ironed before he can even begin the process of cutting. This is a labor of love. But, I have to say he is appreciated. The quilt designers love him. They know they can count on every square being precisely cut and always on the straight- they always make a big fuss whenever he comes in with his boxes full of squares.
Anybody who knows us, knows by now how much we love being involved in the Church's humanitarian effort. We laugh and say it is 'addictive'.. its hard to put into words except to say it warms your heart and just plain feels good. :) This link came across one of my message boards today. I thought it was particularly apropos considering this weekend. Why we do what we do.

I wept.
