Nate's New Calling

Heavenly Father is good to us.  Anthon's wedding reception was really the catalyst that spurred our decision to go up to Utah last week.  At first it was just kind of a 'wouldn't that be fun?' kind of conversation that quickly evolved into "Why not?".  Everything pretty much fell into place as far as our schedule went and before we knew it, we were on our way. 
     The first night at Wayne's house, Bill got a call on his cell phone from Nate.  "You won't believe this, Dad, but the Stake President just called me to be a High Priest.  And, not only that, they asked me to be the High Priest Group leader in our ward!  They want to ordain me on Saturday night.. would you do it? "   Wow.  And, here we thought we were in town for a simple wedding reception.  What a sweet blessing that we were able to be there for this wonderful milestone in Nate's life.  One of Heavenly Father's tender mercies.

       That Sunday was also a special day- their stake was part of regional conference held in the Conference Center in SLC.  We had taken the tour but had never before been to a meeting there.  Pretty impressive- such an improvement on the Tabernacle!  Comfortable seats, tv screens and 17 stakes didn't come close to filling it up.  The speakers were Elder Rasband, Sister Beck, Elder Hales and President Eyring.  What a spiritual feast!
