Happy Saturday!

Well, Bill is already off doing good things this beautiful morning.  He is helping a neighbor move. I, on the other hand, am sitting here listening to the birds sing and trying to get my eyes open.  I'm so not good at mornings!  LOL  I must say, it is a glorious day here in Surprise. I do love our blue skies and sunshine!
This week has gone by so fast!  Instead of creating my usual stack of items for the Humanitarian Center, I have been busily typing recipes into the "Peck Family Cookbook" and learning how to use this fancy new program of mine.  It has all sorts of capabilities which I'm just starting to catch on to.. I can tell I'm really going to enjoy it on a daily basis once I get the hang of it.  In the meantime, it feels great to be s-l-o-w-l-y getting all my recipes collected in one place. Its taking some time, but, I'm convinced its going to be worth it.  It will be especially fun when I start getting recipes from others to include in it.  (How's that for a subtle hint?)
Other good things we've enjoyed this week:  The "Love Comes Softly" series of Hallmark videos from Netflix... sweet stories reminiscent of the Little House on the Prairie.  Its lovely to not have to worry about them being offensive in any way.  I also just finished reading a delightful book..The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society which I highly recommend.  Its not a 'page turner' but just a nice, cozy read.
The big news from the office this week is that our replacements have been found!  Hurray!!  They are set to start April 1st.  That gives them 6 weeks of training and an opportunity, especially for him, to be able to go thru the entire 6 week cycle.  Although we're looking forward to the change, it will be a little odd not to have the title of 'missionaries' anymore.  Its been a neat experience.
Well, guess its time to get busy.  Thanks for sharing these morning musings with me.  :)
